Connect with an API token

  1. In Remote:

    1. Sign in to the Remote dashboard as a company admin or owner.
    2. Go to Company Settings, then Integrations & APIs.
    3. Generate a Customer API token for Safeguard (use a separate token per integration so it can be scoped and revoked on its own).
    4. Copy the token.

Remote's public documentation does not cover every step.

Remote: 'The token acts on behalf of the user who generated it.' The fetched page does not give the generate button label, any read-only option, expiry, or whether the token is shown once. Partners use OAuth instead of customer tokens.

  2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Remote, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
API token / Personal access tokenRequired. Stored encrypted and never shown again.
    Base URL (optional)—
Account / Org / Workspace (optional)—
  3. Click Connect with token.

Frameworks

No automated compliance test reads Remote yet, so no framework lists it. How connectors provide evidence for frameworks: Frameworks and connectors.
