Connect Lever to collect hris evidence with automated compliance tests, switched on per workspace.

Connect with an API token

1. In Lever:

   1. In Lever, go to Settings › Integrations and API and open the API Credentials tab.
   2. Create an API key for Safeguard.
   3. Copy the key and store it securely.

   Lever's public documentation does not cover every step.

   Lever: 'Create and manage your API keys from the Integrations and API page in Settings of your Lever account, on the API Credentials tab.' API keys use basic authentication with the key as the username and a blank password. The generate button label, the per-key permission labels and whether the key is shown only once were not confirmed on the fetched part of the page. users:read:admin is an OAuth scope; the OAuth route requires registering an app with Lever.

   The permissions Safeguard needs: users:read:admin.

2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Lever, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

   Field	What to enter
   API key	Optional. Stored encrypted and never shown again.

   Or, instead: Access token (optional).

3. Click Connect with token.

Frameworks

Safeguard's automated tests read Lever and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.

These tests are switched on per workspace by the Safeguard team.
