Connect with an API token

  1. In Lessonly:

    1. Sign in to Lessonly and go to the company settings page.
    2. Click API & Webhook and copy the API key.
    3. If you don't see the API key link, ask Lessonly to activate the API feature for your account.

Where to find the other values:

    • Subdomain: The part before .lessonly.com in your Lessonly address; Lessonly uses it as the username for API basic authentication.

Lessonly authenticates with HTTP basic auth (subdomain as username, API key as password). The docs don't say which roles can see the key, offer a read-only key, or say whether the key stays viewable.

    Source: docs.lessonly.com, checked 2026-10-07.

  2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Lessonly, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
SubdomainRequired. The part before .lessonly.com in your address.
API keyRequired. Stored encrypted and never shown again.
  3. Click Connect with token.

Frameworks

Safeguard's automated tests read Lessonly and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.
