Connect with an API token

  1. In Infosec IQ:

    1. Sign in to the Infosec IQ app and go to Account Settings › API keys.
    2. Click Manage API keys to open the page where you create or revoke API keys.
    3. Create a new API key there and copy it. Infosec IQ sends it as a bearer token in the Authorization header.

Where to find the other values:

Infosec IQ's public documentation does not cover every step.

The menu path (Account Settings > API keys > Manage API keys) comes from Infosec's knowledge-base article 'API Key Management' (Feb 16, 2024). That article was read through the site's server-rendered version, because the normal page is a JavaScript-rendered Salesforce site. The article does not name the button or fields on the create page and does not mention scopes, roles or expiry, so no read-only option is documented. The API reference (Infosec IQ Public API 2.0) says only: 'You can generate a token within the IQ app.' It does not say whether the token is shown once. Infosec provides the Open API with limited support. The API exposes both read (GET) and write (POST/PUT/DELETE) endpoints for learners and campaigns, and no permission restriction on keys is documented.

Frameworks
