In Microsoft Teams:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center (https://entra.microsoft.com) as at least a Cloud Application Administrator.
- Browse to Entra ID › App registrations and select New registration. Enter a Name, select Single tenant only - <your tenant> and select Register.
- Select API permissions › Add a permission › Microsoft Graph › Application permissions, select only the read permissions Safeguard needs, select Add permissions, then Grant admin consent for <your tenant>.
- Select Certificates & secrets › Client secrets › New client secret, add a description and expiration, select Add, and copy the Value (never displayed again).
Where to find the other values:
- Account / Org / Workspace (optional): The app's overview page (Entra ID › App registrations, select your application) shows the Application (client) ID and the Directory (tenant) ID.
Microsoft Teams shows the secret only once, so copy it before you leave the page.
Microsoft Teams's public documentation does not cover every step.
