Connect with an API token
-
In pCloud:
- pCloud documents no settings page for creating an API token. Obtain an auth token through the API: call an authenticated method such as
userinfowithgetauth=1, for examplehttps://api.pcloud.com/userinfo?getauth=1&logout=1with yourusernameandpassword(over SSL) or with digest authentication (getdigest, thenusername, digestandpassworddigest). - Copy the
authvalue from the response and paste it into Safeguard as the token. - Alternatively, obtain a bearer token through OAuth 2.0 (
authorizethenoauth2_token) and pass it to API methods asaccess_token.
pCloud issues this credential through its API or its support team, not through its admin screens.
pCloud documents no read-only token scope; an auth token acts as the user. Tokens can be listed with
listtokenand revoked withdeletetoken. The API host given in the docs is api.pcloud.com; an EU-region host was not confirmed from a fetched page, so the Base URL location is not documented here.Source: docs.pcloud.com, docs.pcloud.com, checked 2026-10-07.

Frameworks
pCloud publishes no API for what these tests check, so its evidence is an attestation: connect it to record the connection, then attest the result. An accepted attestation counts toward each control below.
| Framework | Evidence | Controls | Tests |
|---|---|---|---|
| SOC2 | Attestation | CC6.2, CC6.3 | 1 |
| ISO/IEC 27001 | Attestation | A.5.18 | 1 |
| HIPAA Security Rule | Attestation | 164.308(a)(3) | 1 |
| PCI DSS | Attestation | 7.2.4 | 1 |
| NIST CSF 2.0 | Attestation | PR.AA-05 | 1 |
These tests are switched on per workspace by the Safeguard team.
