Connect with an API token
-
In Tropic:
- Sign in to Tropic as a user with the Admin role.
- Navigate to Settings › API Keys & Webhooks and open the API Keys tab.
- Click the Generate API Key button in the top right corner of the table.
- Enter a name for the API key in the dialog and click Create.
- Copy your new API key immediately.
Where to find the other values:
- Base URL (optional): All Tropic API requests use the base URL https://app.tropicapp.io.
The help center blocks direct page fetches; the article was read through the help center's own JSON article API on help.tropicapp.io. API key management is limited to users with the Admin role. The article documents no permission or scope options for keys, so no read-only choice is available on the create dialog. It says to copy the key immediately, which implies it is not shown again (not stated outright). Revoking a key cannot be undone. The full API reference is under Settings › API Keys & Webhooks › Reference after sign-in. Requests use the header 'Authorization: Bearer <key>'.
