Connect with an API token
-
In Setyl:
- Sign in to Setyl as a user with the Owner role.
- Open Company Settings and go to the API keys section (https://app.setyl.com/settings/api_keys).
- Click Add New API Key.
- Copy the Private API Key and the Consumer ID before closing the page; they cannot be retrieved again.
Where to find the other values:
- Consumer ID: Shown alongside the Private API Key on the page displayed right after you click Add New API Key in Company Settings.
Setyl shows the secret only once, so copy it before you leave the page.
Only Owners can create API keys; the key is company-wide. Both the Private API Key and Consumer ID are shown only once.

Frameworks
Safeguard's automated tests read Setyl and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.
| Framework | Evidence | Controls | Tests |
|---|---|---|---|
| SOC2 | Automated tests | CC6.2, CC6.5 | 2 |
| ISO/IEC 27001 | Automated tests | A.5.9, A.5.11, A.6.5, A.8.1 | 2 |
| HIPAA Security Rule | Automated tests | 164.308(a)(3), 164.310(d)(1) | 2 |
| PCI DSS | Automated tests | 12.5.1 | 1 |
| NIST CSF 2.0 | Automated tests | ID.AM-01, PR.AA-05 | 2 |
These tests are switched on per workspace by the Safeguard team.
