Record your Netdata connection as observability evidence. Automated collection is not available for this provider yet.

Connect with an API token

1. In Netdata:

   1. In Netdata Cloud, click your profile picture in the bottom-left corner and select User Settings.
   2. Go to the API Tokens section and create a token. The scope scope:all grants the same permissions as the user who creates it, so create it as a user with a read-only role in the space Safeguard should see.
   3. Copy the token. Netdata API tokens never expire, so revoke it when no longer needed.

   Where to find the other values:

   • Account / Org / Workspace (optional): Your Netdata Cloud space name; not described on the fetched page.

   Netdata's public documentation does not cover every step.

   Record-only connector. The create button label, and whether the token is shown only once, were not on the fetched page. Only scope:all and scope:grafana-plugin are documented; there is no read-only scope, so restrict through the creating user's role.

2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Netdata, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

3. Click Connect with token.

Frameworks

Netdata publishes no API for what these tests check, so its evidence is an attestation: connect it to record the connection, then attest the result. An accepted attestation counts toward each control below.

These tests are switched on per workspace by the Safeguard team.
