Connect with an API token

  1. In WorkOS:

    1. Sign in to the WorkOS Dashboard and open the API Keys page (https://dashboard.workos.com/api-keys).
    2. Create a new API key and save it in a secure location right away; production API keys may only be viewed once.

WorkOS shows the secret only once, so copy it before you leave the page.

WorkOS's public documentation does not cover every step.

The fetched page did not give the create-button or field labels, or say whether a key can be limited to read-only access; WorkOS secret keys are environment-wide. Base URL and Account fields can stay blank. The page does not describe switching environments in the Dashboard.

  2. On Compliance › Connectors, open WorkOS, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
API token / Personal access tokenRequired. Stored encrypted and never shown again.
    Base URL (optional)—
Account / Org / Workspace (optional)—
  3. Click Connect with token.

Frameworks

No automated compliance test reads WorkOS yet, so no framework lists it. How connectors provide evidence for frameworks: Frameworks and connectors.
