Connect Insightly to collect crm evidence with automated compliance tests, switched on per workspace.

Connect with an API token

1. In Insightly:

   1. Sign in to Insightly as the user Safeguard will act as (API calls have the same permissions as that user has in the web app).
   2. Open User Settings and find your API Key in the API section.
   3. Copy the key and paste it into Safeguard's API key field.

   Where to find the other values:

   • Pod (optional): User Settings › API section shows the API URL right under your API Key; the pod is the part after api. (for example na1 in https://api.na1.insightly.com/v3.1/).

   Insightly has one API key per user with no scope options; permissions match the user's permissions in the web app.

   The permissions Safeguard needs. Insightly shows the full user list only to administrators, so this credential must belong to one. Safeguard only reads with it.

2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Insightly, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

   Field	What to enter
   API key	Required. Stored encrypted and never shown again.
   Pod (optional)	Leave blank to use na1.

3. Click Connect with token.

Frameworks

Safeguard's automated tests read Insightly and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.

These tests are switched on per workspace by the Safeguard team.
