Connect with an API token

In Render:
- In the Render Dashboard, open your Account Settings page (https://dashboard.render.com/u/settings?add-api-key).
- Create an API key and copy it: it is displayed in full only when it is created.
Render shows the secret only once, so copy it before you leave the page.
Render's public documentation does not cover every step.
Render issues no read-only key, and an API key provides access to all workspaces you belong to. The docs show the creation dialog only as screenshots, so the button and field labels are not quoted. Where the Dashboard shows the Owner (workspace) ID was not found in the docs checked.

The permissions Safeguard needs. Render issues no read-only credential. Safeguard only reads with it, and you can revoke it at any time.

On Compliance › Connectors, open Render, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

Frameworks
Safeguard's automated tests read Render and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.
