Connect with an API token

  1. In Rackspace:

    1. Log in to the Cloud Control Panel at https://login.rackspace.com.
    2. In the upper-right corner, click your username and select My Profile & Settings.
    3. Scroll down to Security Settings.
    4. Click Show next to Rackspace API Key and copy the key.

The API key belongs to the user and carries that user's permissions; for least privilege, use a user with read-only product roles. The key can be shown again with Show; selecting Reset › Generate New Key disconnects apps that use the old key. Where the portal shows the account number was not confirmed on a fetched official page.

    Source: docs.rackspace.com, docs.rackspace.com, checked 2026-10-07.

  2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Rackspace, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
API token / Personal access tokenRequired. Stored encrypted and never shown again.
    Base URL (optional)—
Account / Org / Workspace (optional)—
  3. Click Connect with token.

Frameworks
