Connect with an API token
-
In NinjaOne:
- In NinjaOne, go to Administration › Apps › API.
- Open the Client app IDs tab and click + Add client app.
- Choose an option from the Application Platform drop-down menu and enter a Name.
- Under Scopes, select only Monitoring (read-only access to monitoring data and organization structure).
- Under Allowed Grant Types, select Client credentials, then click Save.
NinjaOne's public documentation does not cover every step.
The fetched page does not name the Application Platform option for machine-to-machine apps (NinjaOne's API reference calls it API Services (machine-to-machine) but that page rendered empty), does not say whether the client secret is shown only once, and does not list regional URLs. Verification removed the copy-credentials step and the Region examples, which the fetched page does not support.

Frameworks
Safeguard's automated tests read NinjaOne and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.

|---|---|---|---|
| SOC2 | Automated tests | C1.1, CC6.1, CC6.2, CC6.5, CC6.8, CC7.1 | 6 |
