Connect with an API token

In OpenRouter:
- Sign in to OpenRouter as an Organization Admin and open the Management API Keys page (openrouter.ai/settings/management-keys).
- Click Create New Key.
- Enter a name and choose an expiration.
- Copy the key when it is shown; you will not be able to see it again.
OpenRouter shows the secret only once, so copy it before you leave the page.

The permissions Safeguard needs:
Management API key (Org Admin). OpenRouter issues no read-only credential. Safeguard only reads with it, and you can revoke it at any time. Needs an OpenRouter management API key, created by an Org Admin on the Management API Keys page. A model API key does not work here. -
On Compliance › Connectors, open OpenRouter, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

Frameworks
Safeguard's automated tests read OpenRouter and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.

These tests are switched on per workspace by the Safeguard team.
