How much does Safeguard Academy cost?

Nothing. Courses, exams, and certificates are free for individuals — there is no paid tier behind the certification.

Do I need to be a Safeguard customer?

No. Anyone can sign up for a free Safeguard account and use the Academy. The same account works across the product and the Academy, but a product subscription is not required.

Can I browse without an account?

Yes. The course catalog, course pages, published community threads, meetup event pages, and certificate pages are all public. You need to sign in to enroll, track progress, post, chat with the AI tutor, or take exams.

What happens if I fail an exam?

A cooldown starts (24 hours for the Safeguard Certified Practitioner exam), after which you can retake. Each attempt draws a fresh random set of questions from the pool. The cooldown end shows on your calendar.

How are written answers and interviews graded?

Subjective answers are graded by AI against a rubric, with the rationale stored; low-confidence or appealed grades escalate to human review. AI-interview exams record the full transcript and rubric scores, with human moderation available before finalization. You see your score and a per-domain breakdown — never per-question answer keys.

How long is a certification valid?

Each certification defines its validity — the Safeguard Certified Practitioner is valid for 24 months from issue. Expiry shows on your dashboard, calendar, and the public certificate page.

How does someone verify my certificate?

They open your certificate link — academy.safeguard.sh/cert/<cert-id> — which shows the certificate and its live status (active, expired, or revoked). No account, no forms. The PDF carries a QR code that resolves to the same page.

Can I add my certificate to LinkedIn?

Yes — one click. The certificate page has an "Add to profile" deep link, and if you connect your LinkedIn account you can also post the certificate directly. Direct posting is likewise available for X and Reddit.

What languages does the Academy support?

English and Hindi. The AI tutor and AI grading respond in your language.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes — the Academy is mobile-friendly across the catalog, lessons, community, and dashboard. Audio lessons are built for listening on the go.

What happens if I disconnect during an exam?

Resume the attempt — your answers are saved as you go and the timer is server-side. If time runs out mid-attempt, whatever you recorded is submitted automatically.

Who answers questions in the course community?

Three kinds of participants: the course's AI tutor (posts a first response, always labeled as AI), human tutors, and fellow learners. The asker marks the accepted answer.

Are live sessions recorded?

Academy-wide meetups stream on YouTube Live and persist as recordings on their event pages — that's the archive. Course-scoped Google Meet sessions are small-group and not published as recordings.

Can my employer verify a candidate's certificate in bulk?

Every certificate is a public URL, so verification is scriptable against the links candidates provide. For anything beyond that, contact hi@safeguard.sh.
