Connect with an API token

  1. In Swimlane:

    1. In Swimlane Turbine, open your User Profile Editor.
    2. Go to the Personal Access Token tab and click Generate Token.
    3. Copy and save the token right away.

Where to find the other values:

    • Base URL (optional): The address of your Swimlane Turbine tenant (the URL you sign in to).

Swimlane shows the secret only once, so copy it before you leave the page.

Swimlane's public documentation does not cover every step.

The token is hidden once generated and will not be shown again. It carries the generating user's permissions; Swimlane documents no read-only token scope, so generate it on a user with read-only roles. The docs do not give the menu path to the profile editor after first login, or token expiry options.

  2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Swimlane, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
API token / Personal access tokenRequired. Stored encrypted and never shown again.
    Base URL (optional)—
Account / Org / Workspace (optional)—
  3. Click Connect with token.

Frameworks

Swimlane publishes no API for what these tests check, so its evidence is an attestation: connect it to record the connection, then attest the result. An accepted attestation counts toward each control below.
