Connect with an API token

  1. In Cowbell Cyber:

    1. Cowbell's APIs are for digital distribution partners. Request API access from Cowbell's Digital Distribution team at apisupport@cowbellcyber.ai.
    2. With the credentials Cowbell issues, call the Get JWT Token endpoint, which "Generates an access JWT token which must be used on all subsequent API calls", and paste that token into Safeguard.

Cowbell Cyber issues this credential through its API or its support team, not through its admin screens.

The public developer index does not show the credential type, base URLs or token lifetime. The API covers rate/quote/bind for agencies, not policyholder evidence. The PDF (read through text extraction) says: "Email our Digital Distribution team at apisupport@cowbellcyber.ai" and lists "Secure, token-based authentication" with "Partner-level access control".

    Source: developers.cowbellcyber.ai, cowbell.insure, checked 2026-10-07.

  2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Cowbell Cyber, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
API token / Personal access tokenRequired. Stored encrypted and never shown again.
    Base URL (optional)—
Account / Org / Workspace (optional)—
  3. Click Connect with token.
